Hey, body lovers! I recently created the following logo for this blog. I’m not sure of the font. I’ll have to play with a few more designs and see how they feel.
My overall plan is to develop a BigBodyBeautiful brand, offer T-shirts and other body-centric products for sale, and start a body-lovin’ revolution. What do you think of this first-pass logo?
Okay, so up there is my second attempt, based on feedback from my coolest of blogger friends, Melanie. Check it out. Is it better? I added a hand to show that she is hugging herself (Awwww) and then noticed how her rolls of sweet pudge show a bit better on her sides. That was a happy accident.
Okay, so I made some minor changes and feel like this is the one. I like her so much and am super excited about creating a brand based on this cute, pudgy mama.
I love it!!
Thanks so much, Kris. It’s still a work-in-progress, but it’s getting closer. 🙂
Love the concept…but I hope you don’t mind some honest, constructive criticism…
I know you want a strong and beautiful logo to represent the revolution 🙂
I have 2 concerns. 1- some may see it as a little phallic in nature. 2- it resembles a baby bottle nipple or pacifier in shape.
You may not see it at first, but look at it with fresh eyes.
Sweet Blogger friend, Melanie! Thank you so much for your honest feedback on the logo. Ya, I agree. It’s not quite right. I was going for a Buddha-woman who is meditating and her delicious folds just spill out everywhere, but it’s a bit too over the top. While I don’t see the phallus intimation so much, I do see the baby bottle stuff to which you refer. I’ll keep working it. Thanks again for the feedback and energy. You rock, mama!
Whew! I’m so glad you accepted my words the way they were intended! Thank you for your kind words above.
I like the definition you have added….it is getting there 🙂
Oh, for sure, mama. I am a Pisces so I’m getting people’s “true” intentions from the ether all of the time. I knew your heart was pure and you were all about helping me make the presentation better. I just totally appreciate you taking the time to comment and help me. You are the bomb-diggity! 🙂
I still like the first one better! Maybe just add the hand to the first logo? You rock!
Thanks, Kristen! Appreciate your comments and support. I do agree with Melanie that it’s got a baby-bottle vibe. Maybe that is okay, since we need to “nurse” ourselves and do a better job of raising ourselves. Not sure, but I know that I do not totally love the logo. The first logo is alot more “female” to me and I like how her body is measurably bigger, but I’m not completely loving the baby bottle aspect. I have to let this cool for a few days and see where it goes. 🙂
